Event Details

 Each month a FREE dinner and discussion will be provided to parents and community members. Those in attendance will gain important information about risky behaviors some of our youth are engaged in. Then participants are given an opportunity to voice their concerns and ideas on how to address those risky behaviors.

 

This is your opportunity to eat with others, help one another, and create solutions.
and promote our supportive communities.

Community Café Agenda:

6:00—6:30pm.  FREE dinner provided for participants at the host location

6:30—7:30pm.  Guest speaker will provide information about the monthly topic. 

7:30—8:00pm.  Round table discussion for attendees to voice concerns and share ideas.

Internet Safety.

Do you know what ROFL stands for or what sites your teens are on? Teens are on the net and texting, but there are risks and consequences that parents should all be aware of. Receive tips how to keep teens safe. See first-hand how easy it is to access information and take advantage of teens through social networking sites.

Healthy Relationships: In and Out of Love.
Wed., Feb. 24, Reedsville High School

Teens need to make choices when it comes to friends and dating. Learn how to guide teens into making good choices for those who they hang out with.

Today’s Drug Use in Manitowoc County.
Thurs., Mar. 25, Kiel High School

This is a must see presentation from Manitowoc County Officer, Joe Keil who will explain what drugs are being used in Manitowoc County and how they are being hid and distributed.

Prescription Drugs the New, Deadly Drug of Choice.
Tues., Apr. 13, RonCalli High School

Karen Falk lost her son to a prescription drug overdose, hear her story and receive advice on how to protect your children from becoming the next victim.

Teen Driving Safety and Cost Savings.
May (Date and Location TBA)

Learn about the new teen driving safety tools and programs. Plus hear from insurance companies about various cost saving products for your teen driver.
